This American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid class in NYC provides basic first aid and safety skills, equipping individuals to recognize and provide basic first aid care for injuries and sudden illnesses. You'll learn how to identify and care for a variety of medical emergencies, including severe bleeding, shock, muscle bone and joint injuries and other sudden illnesses, as well as how to reduce the risk of disease transmission while providing care. Please note this class DOES NOT include CPR AED. Here are our CPR AED certification training class schedules and combined First Aid and CPR AED certification training class schedules. Upon completion, participants will receive the Heartsaver First Aid Course Completion eCard, which is valid for two years.
The Heartsaver First Aid Class is designed for those with limited or zero medical training who require a course completion card for meeting occupational, regulatory, and all other requirements. This class is approximately three hours and covers the following:
- First Aid Basics
- Injury Emergencies
- Environmental Emergency Situations
- Medical Emergencies
We can also provide this course on-site at your home or workplace. If you have a group of 6 or more people, we will come to you. Discounted pricing is available for groups of 11 or more people.
